Sandra Waugh (Author of Lark Rising)

Sandra Waugh is on page of of Behind the Beautiful Forevers. This had all the elements of a story I would normally love.

As is evident by the first fucking quote I presented. Lark is charged to find a stolen amulet and return it to the Keepers in a quest to save her world from destruction, a quest she is convinced she cannot complete. For me it was the perfect balance of magic, fantasy and world-building.

But with a fierce growing attraction, and the upcoming betrayal that is for sure to come, Lark realizes the grave sacrifice that her heart is sure to make.

To take back the Life amulet, Lark will have to discover her true inner strength and give in to a love that she swears will be waaugh downfall.
