This book has been of help to me, somehow, into writing shapely fiction. Shapely Fiction is a writing reference book full of memorable, spot-on one-liners. Stern is direct and straightforward. If you need to know what “plot” is, for example, this is a good place to find out. Topics like atmosphere, dialogue, tension, endings, structure, and suspense are very helpful and made me rethink and rework my NaNoWriMo project.
